Sorry if this has been covered before. I searched but didn't see exactly what I needed.

 

I just bought an 06 Ford Expedition Limited that has a Z1 installed already. It does have a 2way toggle switch under the steering wheel that I have discovered turns the display on the Z1 from daytime-nighttime.

The Z1 date is MAY 06. The vehicle has auto lights so not sure to go about bypassing the lockouts.

 

Any help or a link to a thread would be great!

The lockout detects if the parking brake is engaged or not, not if the lights are on.

I will eventually buy one of those circuits but until then how do I "flash" my headlights with auto lights?

You don't need to.

 

It's more economically sound to update the maps and software for the Z, which in turn will enable you to do the two-wire bypass method.

 

The user garrettoomey on this forum sells updated harddrives for CHEAP and comes highly recommended. You should PM him.
