I am getting a cant set mac addr error when i try to run testmode from the service menu.

Why are you accessing the service menu? Make sure you have a good testmode file.

I am accessing the service menu cause I got the black screen. I couldnt upgrade the WINCE and tried running testmode. I have the 2.3 testmode file.

did you place the "testmode" folder itself on the sd card or the contents? if you place the contents, you wont be able to proceed into testmode, speaking from experience.

yes i tried both ways. My conclusion is that my hard drive is no good. Thanks for the advice. I will give it another try this afternoon, and i am going to try it with the usb as well.

Did you uncompress the testmode file after you downloaded it.

yes Ive tried many things. Came to conclusion unit is bricked. Thanks for your help
