I know that the video out can display DVDs on a secondary screen but does the secondary screen "mimic" the primary screen during regular use? The radio location in my car (Toyota MR2 Spyder) makes it difficult to see the device while driving so a secondary screen would allow me to see the navigation much easier along with whatever I am listening to. Thanks!
F900BT Video Out Question
no the secondary screen will only show a video source that is playing. it will not ever show the audio or nav screens
Hi
Can someone help me understand why is not should be posiable to get a application/hack that will will enable the Viode-out to show e.g. the Nav screen?
I have a similar isusse on my Land Rover Dicovery 3 where it whoud be nicer to get the Navi screen on a monitor on the upper part of the dash instead of the headunit it self
Thanks,
Henning

because they designed the system that way, i would expect that it has to do with the way the hard ware was designed, not the software. and that the internal video interface(nav & audio screen) is not connected to the video out in any way, just the video input(DVD or AV1/2) is split and sent into the units input and the video output cable.*1
*1 BTW this is just a hypothesis, and is not based on any real data.
