F90BT working with iPOD but not the iPhone

I have been checking the forums and I can't seem to find a solution to the following:

I have a F90BT Ver 3.0/Using Abb's Chrome Theme and Map Mod that will play audio and video off of a iPod Video running the latest software version from iTunes. Everything works as it should and I do not get the famous "This accessory is not made to work with this device."

The issue lies with trying to connect my iPHONE via the supplied Pioneer iPOD cable. When I connect the iPHONE I am prompted with the "This accessory is not made to work with the iPHONE would you like to turn on Airplane mode..." I chose not to enter the Airplane mode. Now when I attempt to stream audio through apps like Pandora, the app states there is no volume control. No audio plays through the deck. When I attempt to play a movie there is no audio or video.

On the F90BT, the USB icon does not show that the iPHONE is connected. When I use the iPOD it shows the iPOD. I have also checked the settings on the unit when I connect the iPHONE and have ensured that AV1 is enabled and set to iPOD.

Also I do have the iPHONE using BT for making calls which still works perfectly.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and been able to resolve it.

You may have a damaged dock connection on the phone that handles the video signals.

The phone itself works fine when connected to a computer. It is the oddest thing.

That doesn't mean anything.
