Been on here for some time but just decided to register. Had my z1 since it first came out (switched from an alpine in-dash) and I remember that it said it it had dual source for rear passengers. But from my expierence with other units you're able to have the video on the front screen playing while having the audio play something else (I.e. radio) any ideas on how you do it. I've tried all the menus and sub menus but as soon as i turn to dvd it goes to the source im on. Second question i had was In the library I've been mostly burning cd's with just the songs i want but i noticed in the albums menu it keeps track of what cd's i burned and it doesn't show the album the actual song came from. I know the information is there because i edited the id3 tag before i burnt it. Is there any way to update the album information on each individual song. Thanx.

If the album songs on the CD are on multiple Albums on CDDB, then it would tell you it cannot assign the song titlesm in that case, you have to wait till you finish recording the album, go back to edit the album, do the update track list.... then it would list the albums, pick the one it is correct for the CD and all the song titles would be updated.

If the album is not in the CDDB, then you have to edit it and enter the titles manually... A pain plus you cannot enter any special characters

ID3 tag is for MP3, when you burn the CD, you need to specify burn the CD Text... BTW, if you burn the CD with iTune, then CD Text won't be written to the CD.

Okay i'm still trying to figure out how to do the dual zone on this unit. Im about to install a rear screen and i would like to have the dvd playing video while listening to something else. Do i need to order the rear seat remote in order to do this.

The dual source they describe is video(DVD) on the rear screen and audio from a different source (AM/FM, XM, ect.) through the car speakers, and people in the back seat can get audio through headphones if needed. To switch the video on the rear screen, select rear screen in the source menu and switch it away from the mirror setting.

To clarify for you Guest he is not talking about the back seats, forget about them. Hes saying he wants to have a video playing on the main unit's screen while he's listening to something completely different like Siruis or the radio. Forget about the backseats...
