i´m running my f900bt since a few months and i often found usefull tipps in this forum but not for this question.
Is it possible to use igo amigo instead of igo8 (i don´t want to use leet launcher)? the files of igo amigo are very similar to the files of igo8. what if i just try to copy the amigo files to my avic, can it be bricked? i think no because i won´t change any windows files but i´m not sure.

Actually, the answer is yes you will have problems. The ezrider.exe for iGo 8 that Pioneer uses has some extra code that accepts and sends messages to the other programs in the system, mostly the ones under the APL/ directory (av.exe, mainmenu.exe, etc). If these messages aren't passed around, you'll end up with the "System startup in progress, please wait" message stuck over the bottom of the screen, phone calls won't show the controls on the screen, etc, etc. If you search under the iGo8 data.zip files, you'll see mention of these calls like "os.pioneer" or something similar as examples.

and is it possible to give the pioneer igo 8 the same layout as igo8 uses on pda or will i have the same problem here? useability on pda is much better than on the avic 
- maybe i need more time to get used to it.

Check out mods available in the Completed mods subfolder. There's also a thread about getting AVIC to work with Gurjon skin as well.
