Hi,

I recently bought an F5000BT off ebay and everything appears to be intact, ie cables sealed and plastic still on unit screen... ie it appears brand new as it was described. However I noticed there is no SD card to be found. Isn't the unit meant to come with one?

No, the maps are all on internal memory. The SD card slot is just for updates and playing mp3s, etc.

Thank you...can all the hacks and playing mp3 etc be done just using a usb stick via the cable ? Or must I buy an SD card.

You need an SD card to access testmode. So if you plan on performing any hacks, you will need one.
