AVIC F500BT Unit

I have a old generation Ipod and it does not show up on the screen as an Ipod option when connected. I am using the CdI200 cable but I am only being able to control it from the Ipod. What do I do so it shows up on the AVIC Screen. I also plugged my IPhone 3gs and got nothing from that at all no sound or Option on my AVIC.

What is happening is that the iphone is not waking up. It is not the fault of the AVIC. Try resetting your iphone by holding the power button in for 2-3 sec. After it reboots, try it. That has worked for me twice now.

well if it is older than a fifth gen (ipod video) then it is a non supported ipod and i dont believe there is really any thing you can do other than buy a compatible Ipod.
