Ok, tried a search but came up dry. I have a 110bt and I have been having weird audio level issues. I started with the hu and a jl g6600 amp. Well after about a week with the setup, the right front channel would shoot up in volume and other channels went quiet and it stayed that way. Ok thought the amp was bad, so I worked with my installer and we changed it out for a JL HD900. Sweet amp, and every thing has been awsome. Until today. Now one week after we changed amps, the front left channel goes up in volume and then the rest go really quiet. After a bit of time everything returns to normal, so better than the last amp, but not what it should be.

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem. The only constant in all of this is the same z110bt hu is in the dash. Could the hu be busted? My installer is skeptical two amps go bad especially since they work perfectly for a week or two before the issues appear. The installer has checked the speakers for shorts and other isssues and found nothing.(they spent about 8 hours on this). Any help appreciated.

Ok I recently had an issue even more weird then this. And it was with a JL amp. When I put my car in drive or reverse, the audio signal from the amp to the speaker would cut out. The amp was still on but no audio. Now this makes absolutely no sense to me. I was sure it was not the amp. We even switched JL amps and still had the problem. I was sure it was the head unit causing the problem. We ended up finding a work around to eliminate the problem, for about three weeks. Then, about three weeks later, the problem started happening more often intermittently. I decided to go ahead and switch amps to a different brand. I found a really good deal for a discontinued amp at Best Buy so I decided to try it and just return it if I determined the amp wasn't the problem. Well what do you know, It hasn't happened sense. I am not quite sure if the amp is defective or if it just has a higher tolerance standard then other amps but the problem went away when I eliminated the JL amp. Give it a shot, try a different brand and see if you get the same problem.
