Ok so to try and help a little more. I'm going to start posting pictures of where I get the vss wire in cars that I work on. I will do my best to keep this post updated. I'm going to post the pics on www.imageshack to try and keep the bandwidth used here to a minimum. I'm taking these pics with my cell phone so they're not the greatest in the world, but they'll give you a good idea of where to go.

Most fords 1998-2004

There should be a gray/black wire in the harness pictured.

Fords 2004-up

If your harness looks this one then the vss should be gray/black. I know the pic sucks but I was in a crunch. With the harness oriented like the picture the vss will be in the lower group of wires.

2001-2005 Honda Civic

This is the cruise control module. There'll be a blue/white wire there.

Do you happen to have the VSS location and for the 2007 mitsubishi eclipse? Also, the vioce prompt for the "turn by turn direction" does not work, any help? the only thing I don't have hooked up is the VSS. Thanks

on my wife's 07 mustang gt, i wonder if the harness is the same on my f150. if it is it'll be easy because i know theres a grey/black wire. if not i'll need help finding that vss wire on my wife's mustang gt!

Do you remember which pin? I have that plug and 7 wires coming out of it but no gray/black. I had the factory in dash 6cd changer with automatic volume control.
