Just checked in and saw that the Z120 is live and was wondering if anyone has heard an ETA on the udpate for our Z110's? Last I heard there it was going to be a straight software update... has that changed? Hopefully not. Looking forward to ANY improvements they may have made to navigation and the PandoraLink sounds pretty cool for us Iphone users.

Sometime this summer. Likely in June. Wont be any changes in the navi however other then newer maps.

doesn't the navigation the X920BT and Z120BT have the new Eco thing going?

Thats not really a navi feature as opposed to a real time analyzer of how economically you are driving in real time. The Z already analyzes fuel consumption based on your route. The navi features are not going to change with the upgrade.

Wow so it's finally out.

Anybody know if it will cause problems with the upgrade if you've done the bypass?

I wouldn't think so, but ya never know!

$200 is this normal? I guess the gave us a $200 rebate so now they are going to try and get it back!! OUCH!!! Is this upgrade worth $200?

If you watch all the videos in the stickies.... then you could answer your own question....

To me...it's worth $200.... easily....

For a map upgrade, yes. Just look at all the other map upgrades they have offered for years. Nothing new here.

Thanks VBLUE42, appreciate the input. Didn't think it would hurt anything, but better to be safe than sorry ;-)

Also I guess they could just not offer an upgrade at all and require you to pay 1500-2000 for the new unit. Kinda like all the other companies do.

I spend just as much for map upgrades in my wife's BMW X5....

Which doesn't include any new features or new interfaces....

Actually..

It's $180.... but still...

Read the reviews for the z120bt or the x920bt. It's the same interface.

Short answer is, you can debate whether $200 is too much, but it's a significant upgrade. Far more than just map updates.

So by that, am I to understand that the 120 is ONLY THIS upgrade? That is, does the 120 have ANYTHING more than our 110's after this upgrade?

Posted Jun 11, 2010 · 22:03 UTC#21

No. Once you do the upgrade, you will no longer have a 110. It will be a 120.

That's awesome. I'm sold. Will order tomorrow.
