I purchased this unit from a pioneer distributor and it was supposedly new (I don't see how it could be new since it has XM already on it) The last time I got XM devices I had to call and get it connected and put it on my account and what not. I am wondering if this is a new promotion that they have going or is it something that dealers get when they order units for themselves ( a friend that is a dealer ordered it for me).

Anyone else had an experience like this? Sould I call XM and get the extra ch I want or should I leave it and just use whats on there already? I could cancel my other radios then and pay nothing but thats the only up side of this.

The new ones come without them activated. Just use the free service until it goes out.

Thats what I thought. I have never got one that was already connected. I hope it's a lifetime sub if they sold me a used unit for full price. If they are gonna screw me then I should get something from the deal lol.
