Hey guys,
I bought a used truck last weekend, and it had the AVIC-F900BT installed already. It was functional when I purchased, but had the last owner's personal splash screen, and no settings were available to select and modify. I could only listen to the radio, use the navigation and watch dvd's. So, wanting everything fresh, I started messing around with it by doing upgrades and eventually got into complete factory reset. I am now to the point where the unit turns on, bluetooth light flashes once only, and nothing displays. I can hit the menu button to bring up the menu, but cannot select any features. I can hit the Map button, and the notice screen comes up, but won't go any further. On top of that, it will reset non-stop. I have read many articles on here, and tried many things, but nothing. I definitely need some help. I know that this is probably in these forums, but I need some help directly to completely starting fresh. I mean everything from the service screen with the MBR, to getting this thing back to working. I know that this is pry an over-run issue, but again, I could use some major help.
Also, my latest attempt to upgrade to 2.08, as I am out of options, came up as it should and upgraded with no help, but in the top right corner where it displays versions that it is upgrading to, the maps version (third item from top) displayed nothing. Is that normal? I know that I screwed this thing up somewhere, but cannot seem to find it.
Again, if someone can walk me through on how to get this thing back to "new, right out-of-box" status I would be ecstatic!
