I've read in the manual and through this site that the CD-IU50V is the cable to buy. This combined with the usb/mic output cable included with my z110bt gives me about 8ft of cable running through my car with a break in the middle where the usb and mic connection are made. The CD-IU50V is listed at $45

The other thing I see on the Pioneer site is the CD-I200, it's $20 and looks like it goes straight from the iPod dock port to the bus port, less cable to hide, no breaks. Has anyone tried this? I did notice they say the cable is for "direct connection" and makes no mention of the audio/video traversing the cable.

For that matter the CD-IU205V for $45 looks like it accomplishes everything the CD-IU50V does without the extra cable break AND retains some sort of usb input connectivity (albeit a male usb connector). It also says it supports audio and video.

Just looking for the best cable with your experienced opinions.

The IU50V is the only cable that will work on the 110 if you want full iPod support.

You need the cable stated above. Your ipod may work with other cables but you will not get sound through your car speakers. (it's pretty dumb on the user side but smart on pioneers part) If you hook your regular ipod cable up it will seem like it's working but when you go to play a song or what ever it won't play since it does not have the 3.5mm jack plug in.
