My Z1 has a manufacture date of July 2006. It was installed (reported earlier on this board) with a parking brake 'switch' but really didn't work and without the VSS connected. I do get the parking brake error message every time I start the system.

Most importantly, the light flashing bypass is working beautifully. I'm having the VSS connected on Tuesday. Hopefully I'll be able to get into 3D from simple hybrid mode.

um this has been covered a few times to say the least, but uhh reset the unit when you ground the parking break and that error msg shouldnt come back.

The reason for the post was to say that yet another July '06 unit works with light flash bypass ........ and to thank the board. I already know about the resetting .... from the board. Have to have the parking brake grounded first. Thanks.

You probably should have considered putting it in the Z1 section, not the N1/N2/N3 section
