Hey Gents,

Quick question here.

I have to admit that I really like this deck but there's one thing I couldn't get straight.

Since I've got my deck installed, my check engine light is always on. One audio guy tried to explain to me that this was due to the "upgraded" audio system. The guy was mentionning that it's data transfer or something and since the factory deck was removed, the new deck doesn't have this "chip" and is not reconized.

Would anyone be able to help me here? It sux to drive a 300 with an engine light on all the time... due to your deck.. lol

Thank you

Sylvain

If your engine light is on, then ther is a DTC that is related to that. You should have someone diagnose the code for you to determine what it is about. I have a D3 in my 300 and it never caused the engine light to come on.

yes, have the code's pulled from the CEL and then see what the codes are for, the CEL has nothing to do with the radio, however all of the systems in the car do communicate with each other through a data BUS system, if something was hooked up to the wrong wire it could have damaged something in the cars computer.

first step, you have to get the codes pulled to see what the problem actually is!
