Hey i was one of those that bought that 12buck garmin mic and I did see improvement. Although it is tolerable I wouldn't mind trying something else. Has anyone tried using a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter on these units http://www.expansys-usa.com/d.aspx?i=113967

There are a lot more options for 3.5mm mics than for 2.5mm
