Just bought an used z1 off EBAY... I have only a couple of days to check if it is working.. How do I easily hook it up to check if its working... I didnt receive all the wires.. However i do have the power wire.

To test just if it boots up and visually okay...do i only have to connect the yellow (power) wire and the black (ground wire). Do I have to connect anything else.? Can i just take out my current head unit, splice the power wire and ground wire and connect those to the Z1?

I will definately disconnect the ground wire from the battery before doing any of this..

Is this the correct way...or is there any easier way to test it

red, ignition wire also. but should just install it.

instead of taking my radio...can i hook it up..to my car amp? Its all off of 12v...wouldnt it work?

yes, it would work, but i would think that it isnt too much more work to just install it is all.
