When using bluetooth my iPhone plays great!
When I connect through the cable I can see all the functions on the screen but when I select a movie nothing happens.
When I select a song, the artwork pops up and it begins to play but no audio comes out.
Whats going on here.

Which cable are you using and where did you buy it?
im using the stock Apple white cord that came with my iphone 3Gs... connecting to the stock Pioneer USB cable
How did I know? 
As stated on here a hundred times in numerous threads, that wont work. You have to have the Pioneer iPod cable.
Wow I never read that- how much for one of those?
About $45-$50 from most distributors....I wouldn't waste my time looking for some Chinese knockoff either..Pioneer sells it direct for $45...(See Link Below)
