I just purchased a new 06 Jetta and I was wondering if I can fit the AVIC-D2 in without any issues?

Also, any idea on what type of other parts I need to get it installed like wiring harnesses or mounting hardware?

Yes it fits several people here have avics in jettas. Oh yeah welcome to the forum.

The only thing to consider is that you'll loose the steering wheel controls. There are companies developing afordable CAN adaprters at this point. I'm installing a D2 in my 2006 GTI.

they should have the double din kit for your car and they have free shipping deals. also check out www.vwvortex.com they have some good forums about jettas and several members have the same radio
