first off my unit works good most of the time but one issue I have is. that the shuffle feature refuses to work randomly

 

sometimes I plug in my phone to the iPod connection and it plays th first song. I had shuffle and it replays the first song again. and that issue one

 

issue two is this is the first time it has happened but I plugged in my iPhone and nothing plays. accessory is connected. iPhone is charging bit shows the artist and playlist on the screen but nothing plays. I hit plays and pause and play and nothing happens. I hit skip and nothing plays still. the artist and song track doesn't show on the main screen but yet I can still see them when I touch artist so I know it's plugged in.

 

any help would be great.
