So this is my first post, Ive haunted the AVIC forums for awhile now but now is time to buy so I figure I should start asking questions in addition to the searching and reading.

Im looking for a comprehensive list of what i will need to install a Z120BT in a 2011 Silverado 2500HD Extended cab w/ bose. Basically i want my XM to work, my HD radio, My steering wheel controls and my On Star. Ive searched and found these part numbers, are these correct?

AVIC Z120BT - head unit

GEX-P920XM - XM adapter

GEX-P20HD - HD adapter

PAC SWI-PS - Steering wheel controls

PAC OS-3 - On Star adapter

I know the 2011 are not out yet, mine is on order. The only things i cant find are the wiring harnesses required and the mounting kit. Lastly, Crutchfield says that some of the parts are not compatible with the 2010 (my only option for searching at this time) Silverado. Does it matter if they say that because they are compatible with the Z120? Any and all help and advice will be much appreciated.

With a 2011 you might need the OS-4 module instead of the OS-3. Check with PAC Audio.

I looked at the OS-4 and it looks like it might be the correct option. Reading the PAC website i am confused.

So my question is, with this harness from PAC does that replace the need for the separate GEX-P920XM - XM adapter and PAC SWI-PS - Steering wheel controls? Also does this unit solve the issues of finding and splicing the VSS and Illumination and Reverse wire? This would be great if it saved all those steps. Thanks and I hope someone has the answers.

Your still going to need the Pioneer XM module.

But not the Steering wheel module? Thanks for your patience.

You will need the XM module if you don't have a factory one installed.

Same goes with the steering wheel controls. If you don't have a factory module installed (I can't imagine why you wouldn't if you have the controls, but you never know) you will need one.
