Fix: Default display format of GPS coordinates

As many of you may know, there is a bug in IGO that prevents us from saving a default GPS display format. Currently, we have to re-set the display format each time we start IGO. Personally, I hate the default format of DDD.DDDD and wanted it to default to DD MM.MMMM without having to set it each time it starts up.

Here is the FIX that allows you to set the default in SYS.TXT:

In your SYS.TXT add the following lines.. Put ; in front of the formats you don't want, remove the ; from the ONE you want as the default.

[local]

;Don't use geopos_disp_format. Bug in IGO8 forces format to 0. Use geoposdispformat instead as below.

;geoposdispformat=0 ; DD.DDDDD geopos_disp_format = 0; DD.DDDDD

geoposdispformat=1 ; DD MM.MMM geopos_disp_format = 1; DD mm.mmm

;geoposdispformat=2 ; DD MM SS.S geopos_disp_format = 2; DD MM SS.S

Next we need to modify one file in either data.zip and/or your skin file (if the skin has a common\ui\start.ui). Personally I have modded DATA.ZIP AND my skin files (like DIMKASpector).

In common\ui\start.ui in the routines

;We mod here to make geopos display format mods... Magic-Man

GETSYSENTRY "geoposdispformat" "local" 0 vTmp

.local.geopos_disp_format vTmp

run sc_FindCoordFormatChanged

Save the file in the zip and enjoy.

BTW, I think all the skin makers should add these lines by default to the next version of their skins to make things easier for us all
