I have a 2000 chevrolet silverado with the GM 1.5 DIN size radio, has anyone here modified their dash to accept the Z1 to fit into a gm size dash. Otherwise i'll be mounting the Z1 into my center console where the factory tape deck/cd holder is. Im new to the forum but im heavily into customizing interior, air suspension, engines, basically anything that thas to do with show cars or trucks, and am planning on doing all fabrication myself, but if anyone has insight please let me know,

I don't think it will like being mounted "vertically" in the center console...it will freak out the gyro sensor....

Actually it will fit with minor modification, My brother has an 02 Escalade same dash and it fit. The black bezel around the unit must be trimed on the top and the bottom and there is a bunch of plastic connected to a medal support behind the factory unit that must be removed. Also have a friend that we installed the D1 that came out of my brothers escalade after he got the z1 and it was installed in his 02 standard cab chevrolet pickup. Just some minor cutting and you are GTG
