I have the N3 and don't think it's possible but was curious to find out if one could create custom POI's for this unit. I'm not even sure if the Z series is capable but I also use a portable Garmin when traveling and use custom POI's for red light and speed cameras. Just wasn't sure if someone knew if it was possible for the AVIC series or not.

Custom POI is not supported with any N series unit.

I can set points on the map that have a label and a name....but how can I get the N5 to alert me as I approach these marked points?
