I have tried many times upate my F500 from 2.007 to 3.0 but always I always got some problems, so MAY BE (I say may be) I do as follow. WHAT IF:

1.- I´m in EU

2.- I´d buy an US CNSD-150FM. In US can be purchased by $50, about 36 Eur. In Spain about 160 Eur!!

3.- I´d install CNSD-150FM

4.- I replace \APL2\iGo\CONTENT and \APL2\iGo\LICENSE files with one from 3.0, EU version. I don´t replace ezrider.exe, because I assume that if I pruchase the SD, it should be work.

Could it be OK?

If you are in Europe, then you cannot buy the US CNSD-150FM, because it will have the US maps on it and not Europes. The reason that Pioneer is charging for the 3.0 update is that it has the newer map upgrade. You will have to get the European one!

Now, there is a work around. You can purchase the US Pioneer update, download the latest 2009 european maps, and install them in the map folder after you delete all the US maps. That is the only way that it will work

I cannot see why it wouldn't. It is worth the shot. Make sure though that you have the latest euro maps. Good luck!

I have just ordered it at 6ave.com!! It has been more difficult I wish to send it to Spain,but I got it!!
