I had the Motorola Z9 and now I have the Iphone 4, and both work with the voice number dialing, but don't work with contact names. I have made sure that I'm saying the names as they are in the phone contacts but nothing works. I have the 3.0 update. It has never worked and I cant get it to work. If anyone has any soulution please help me. Thanks.

Look for a post here that deals with editing your phonebook.db file. My VR would not work with contact names at all, even though it worked with numbers and my iPod VR worked fine. The problem was that my Motorola phone put funky characters for some of the default speed dials during the contacts upload that the AVIC didn't like. Once I cleaned up the file using a mySql manager plugin for Firefox (free), all works fine. You will have to go into testmode and find the db file, copy it to an SD, modify it on your computer and then replace it back on your flash drive. Part of the filename is your bluetooth connection ID. It is a long thread that starts where someone wrote an online phonebook editor that is no longer valid.
