Hi guys, new here. Thanks for the useful info!

Just installed my Z120bt, and most works fine. I'm having problems, however, with my Iphone. It reads the VR info just fine, controls the iphone just fine, everything is as should be, changes tracks, reads my playlists, etc, but there is no sound. I have an iphone 1st gen, ver 3.1.3 software, using the Pioneer cable, and also tried it with the Iphone cable - same results. No audio.

Any ideas?

Plug the AV side of the iPod cable in. The iPhone cable that came with the phone wont work.

Did you get this working? I was having the same problem, and ended up having to send my Z110 in for repair.

I just wanted to post a quick update in case anyone stumbles across this thread with this same problem. It turns out that you have to make sure the AV1 Input setting is set to iPod for the sound to work over the iPod interface. I'm sure this is explained in the manual, but who reads those?

OP and Thomas, thank you so much for the info. I had the identical problem and I registered just to post this thank you. I was really frustrated that everything seemed perfectly fine once I connected my Iphone 4 to the Z120BT but no sound! I'm going to try to do the AV1 setting thing as soon as I get out to the car. Hope it works!

P.S. Never had a BT pairing problem with this phone and head unit, in case someone who reads this is wondering.
