which ipod cable is needed to play videos on the d3 screen. i have the cd-i200 and i can only hear the sound from the movie but i cant see it on the screen. i have the pre out turned on on the ipod.

thats the right cable, it works for video in my buddy's tahoe

well go into the Ipod's settings and make sure the video out is turned on (not off or ask every time)

if that doesn't work then there might be a problem with either the ipod, cable, or the headunit.

i would try someone elses ipod first to make sure that is not the problem

I have a 4th gen ipod touch and Im not getting video either. I've heard that the cable may not work with the newer ipods. Can anyone verify this?

ive heard that some touches dont transmit video through the dock connector(i have not verified this myself), i would try it with a friend ipod and see if it works.

I have a friend and his 5.5 gen ipod classic will play

video through his dock sta. on his tv and another friend

with a 6 gen and in the same dock won't play the video, just

the audio and the 6 gen wont play the video on my D3, have not

tried the 5.5 gen, he is kinda anal but working on it...

I believe I read something about this somewhere, hope someone

who knows will chime in and shed some light on this.
