Is it possible to get the softeware from some bit torrent site, and then burn to cd and then from cd to head unit?

HAHA. You can't install via DVD/CD without purchasing. Captian is being mean 
When a download becomes available, it can be installed directly to the hard drive via PC only.

Well Garret you're right you can't install from CD but there IS a torrent

WTF??? We can get the files via torrent but cannot get themto our headunits without tethering them to a pc... Why not?

Well I've been away from this site for awhile (victim of the job market caused lifestyle change)...it's nice to see some great changes with AVIC411...I noticed a torrent for Z3 2010 map update. I joined "MediaFire" and proceeded to garrettoomeys torrent site and tried to begin uploading...it seems that there is no source for the file??? Or am I missing something? I plan to seed the system once I have the seeds.
any comments...anybody?

Sorry to dig up old thread but is there any map data disc for australia? Or does anyone know what is the map data format? Clrion using same OS and file system as AVIC.
