Ok...cut me some slack, ok? I did a search and can't find my answer...and in all honesty, I'm such a noob at this sort of stuff.

I downloaded some music (legit LOL) and burned it to a CD. All songs are .wma files. When I popped the CD in the Z1, it starts playing and rips the songs to the hard drive. However, no data about song names, etc come up. Is there anyway to do that? Is it my downloads that are missing the data? I bought the songs off Walmart.com.

I don't think the Z1 will recognize ID3 tags from burned discs, I believe it only read the 'CD Text' off of commercial cd's.

It's all in how you burn them. It will read the CD text if you use Nero or the likes.

That's 100% true because my WMA files record to the Z1 hard drive and all the information about the artist/song/album showed up. You need to make sure they are "tagged".

I'll give Nero a try and see what happens! Thanks!!
