Im in the market for a D1 or D2 and I found a couple websites on the net that has them for sale for really cheap. Do yall think I should trust the sites? The main site im looking to buy from is http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio ... ctID=17244

Now does that seem like a legit site? If it is, I am ordering this extremely soon. Also how hard is this to install? I also would like a couple custom Mustang backgrounds for it. This is being put in a 2001 Mustang GT. Also is it ok to trust refurbished units? That is what that is in the link. I can get a new factory sealed D2 for $889.99 from the same site.

Thats a good price for a new in box unit. Wouldn't pay that much for a refurb. Can't really say if the seller is reliable but you can assume you won't get the manufacturers warranty at that price. I would look on ebay for a seller that has sold the exact model before and look at their feedback

ResellerRatings can be your best friend. Always search here on a potential website shop before purchasing:

This one post particularly scared me out of shopping with them.

What I hate is that Online Car Stereo sends a little piece of paper out with their products that says basically that they aren't an authorized dealer of anything, so the manufacturer's warranty is void, but that they'll guarantee all their products for one year. The catch is that they won't guarantee any product that's been installed. So how you're supposed to use it and know if it doesn't work without actually installing it is beyond me.
