i plugged my old ipod into the z120 today, and i get no sound, it loaded the songs, and is playing them on the unit, but no sound at all... anyone else have this issue?

i just loaded songs on it, and it did an update...

What you left out was whether it previously worked with another iPod. If not, then it's the cable. Did you buy the Pioneer ipod cable (USB + a/v)? If so, which model?

Otherwise, which model iPod doesn't work? Was it on the list of supported iPods in the manual?

The only 1GIG iPods I know of are shuffles and they are not compatible anyway. And if you are trying to use the cable that came with the iPod you need to read your manual.
