Just installed an as new one I bought off ebay (yes I know asking for trouble) and the screen keeps flashing from light to a bit darker all the time I fitted the handbrake bypass wiring could that have anything to do with it or any other comments would be greatly appreciated.

is you illum wire hooked up to anything? (orange wire)
