Just wondering if anyone knows the largest size USB drive that can be attached to the read USB cable? I have a portable 300GB USB drive. Should it work?

The problem isn't the size of the drive, it's the fact that the usability and control of playing items off USB drives (provided they either have low power requirements OR an additional power connector) is crap.

Maneuvering through the folders, the fact that artwork isn't supported, MP3's always restart from the beginning, etc, all make using a USB hard drive a PITA as opposed to the very solid and easy to use ipod control.
