I just installed this not more then 2 months ago with no issues until now. The other day i took off driving and the unit turned off/on 2 times within 10mins and hasnt done it since. anyone having or heard of this issue?

Sounds like a loose connection to either your ACC wire or the constant +12V. Or might even be a ground problem. Intermittent wiring problems are a b@#%!* to fix.

What kind of car is this in ?

it could be the power connections to it, or it can also be the radio rebooting itself for whatever reason.
