Forced Backup Camera View?

Hello Guys:

Finished my install of my 120BT this morning - spent several days doing it in my freetime!

Everything seems to work perfect or at least very good - bypass, sirius, gps signal etc etc.

One question, and I apologize if this is redundant?

Is there any way I can have a backup view at will without having to put my vehicle in reverse? Yes, I know about the split-screen option in settings, but it seems I've seen somewhere (youtube?) where someone just presses a button and the backup camera will activate whether stopped, in motion or whenever?

Again does anyone with a Z120BT know how to do this? I hope I'm not confusing this function between the Kenwood DNX6960 which I also researched heavily before buying the Pioneer ?

Thanks for any help with this?

Regards, B3

Thats exactly what your'er doing. Rear view on the 920/110/120 comes in the forum of split screen rear view/navi.

What you have seen on youtube is someone using a toggle switch to simulate the reverse signal. The avic thinks it's in reverse when the switch is flipped. Be careful if you try this, as it will require a relay or diodes to keep your reverse lights from turning on, etc.

Or simpler yet, use a SPDT switch. Only costs a little more than the usual SPST. On the DT side, one is ACC+, the other comes from the back-up light.
