hi i am a newbie, i need some help with the bypass on a 05 silverado with bose and onstar system.

if i use the mute wire will that stop my onstar from working?

Yes. If you are not going to be using an external amp you can use the amp turn on wire in place of the mute wire. You can use the 12 volt switch form the unit to tap into the Bose amp turn on.

im sorry, i must be having one of those days, you previously said if i am not using an aftermarket amp to use the amp turn on wire?

but i am using an aftermarket amp for the sub and the bose amp for front and rear speakers so i have to use the turn on wire as well as the mute wire i think?

i also purchased the SCOSCHE GMOS2B11 and SCOGMCM2B12 (chimes module)

What I said was, take wire tapped from the 12 volt switched wire and use that as your amp turn on wire. Then you can take the amp turn on wire and relocate it for the bypass.

the remote wire is a different pin and on a different harness.
