After reading everything on here about the Bluetooth Update to help with the echo problem, I called Pioneer to ask if I coud be sent a CD.

The tech claimed to know nothing about the CD at all (although he admitted getting tons of calls about the echo problem and said they are working on it).

When I told him others had gotten a CD he seemed surprised but still had no idea. I asked him when an update/release of Z2 would be available, and he told me in May.

So is the update floating around online for real? -- was it developed by Pioneer or by a third party?

The update is for real. It's a pioneer product, there are scanned in images of the pioneer document in the bluetooth fix thread (page 8 or 9 I believe) in the hacks section.

yes some reps dont know of it, just ask for another tech that might know about it, they will find someone who does.

Does the update work? If so, does the Ducatiboy bypass still work after the update is installed?
