I've been lurking here for awhile now and I'm very close to ordering a Z1. I was wondering what is the preferred install kit for a 06 Honda civic hybrid. Scosche or Metra, is one better than the other?

i havent used scosche kit, but the metra works ok. its a little complicated but works. make sure you keep in mind the wiring as there is very limited room behind the unit once installed. youll have to pull the wiring down and away from the back or the dash panel will not go back on right. you will also need an ant adapter, metra model number 40hd10, and you could get the steering wheel control integration from pac, model number swi-ps (if you have stock controls) take note not to go to fast and make sure you dont leave the dash piece laying around as it can easily scratch itself and other parts of the dash. For the ant. make sure the adapter goes in just right and fully. Sometimes it likes to pop out the actual ant. so check the reception prior to putting the dash back together. Enjoy
