I've recently bought a AVIC-F20BT and I'm really happy with it except for the FM radio reception.

It receives my local stations fine, but has really bad reception of national stations.

I live in East Yorkshire, and can get BBC Radio Humberside, Galaxy FM, Viking FM etc all ok.

However the reception of BBC Radio 1, 2, Classic FM etc is terrible.

The unit will not seek to these, and when I manually tune to them the signal is very weak.

I've tried all the options on the unit (eg turning off "Local" etc).

Has anyone any suggestions ?

does the car have a antenna booster that needs to be powered up? (fairly common with cars that dont have the old school tall metal mast antenna, and have a in-glass, stubby, or shark fin antenna)
