This unit cannot be hacked and maps can only be upgraded when there is an update from Pioneer and that will cost you $120 a pop. I would suggest to do what others have done and sell it, and then buy an X910BT or an F900bt. Either is fairly cheap on ebay and these units are fully moldable and you can update maps as they become available
