Hey everyone, im in the market to pick up a D1 or D2... i know that now both are more or less discontinued with the arrival of the D3 fairly soon, but the D2 is still widely available but the D1 is a little harder to find. I am trying to get a good deal on either the D1 or D2 but havent had much luck. there are a bunch on ebay, but they are refurbished and I am not sure if i should trust a refurbished one... i dont like used/refurbished stuff anyway. So I was wondering if anyone has a nice hook up or a good spot to pick a d1 or d2 up... im also in NYC so if anyone says chinatown im always down to make a trip...

ive also noticed that a few months ago, these were alot cheaper than they are now, did they go up in price since october?

edit: if anyone gets confused, i dont only wanna pick it up round nyc although that is an option, very open to ordering online as well.

I purchased a refurbed from ebay from hifiaudioline. I'm very happy w/ the purchase. It looked new and all the cabling was new. I'd do it again.

I also noticed a decline in d1/d2's. D2's already discontinued on crutchfield. I imagine production ceased a few months ago and they're ramping up the d3's.

Greetings.

I am new to the site and am in the market for an Avic D1 or D2.

What are the differences between the two?

Any links/info about comparing the two?

Thanks in advance.

Did a quick search here on AVIC411 and found comparisons between the D1 and D2.

Next question: I just purchased a 2007 Honda Pilot without the Nav system and will be installing an AVIC D1 sometime this spring. Where can I find the attach plate that allows me to use the steering wheel controls?

Thanks again.

as mentioned in your other post, theres no "attach" plate, and the steering wheel control is the swi-ps and works completely, just follow instructions when installing.
