My unit does not work because the version installed fx3.1

I managed to install the 3020 version that Pioneer has on its website but when starting out is the USA version fx3.1

 

as I can go back to the source?

 

What is MBR? I've seen that I have the option of formatting the MBR but I have not because I'm not sure.

Typically in the CS world it means Master Boot Record. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_boot_record. I am not sure I would do that unless you know for sure you want to. Have you tried something like this:
