before ii posted this, ii searched. when ii turn my truck on. my indash comes on. shows the blk pioneer screen and then goes blank. my buttons dont light up or anything. to turn the screen on, ii have to press the map. still and all. the buttons wont light up.

first of all, one I is enough.

 

second, ive never heard of an AVID headunit, so i will assume that you have an avic f900

 

third you may have a problem with the files that are on the system and causing a boot error, which reloading all of the software isusually the only way to fix it, or you may have a bad board inside you unit and thats why none of the lights are working.
