My f700 is giving me all types of problems. I tried loading 2.008 on there, it loaded up and said 100% then whn it restarted itself, it didnt move off the splash screen. Finally it did now im not able to make any audio selections. I can select destination or contacts from the main menu but not AV. Even under the setting menu I cant select "AV setting" or "AV source". Also when i looked under service info screen the map version said none but it show 2.008 as loaded on there. Are there files missing? If so how can i restore them?

Did you previously have a software bypass? you might need to redo it,

You might also want to try and reload the OS that you backed up before upgrading.

I didnt back up the OS the unit was already acting up whn i got it, so i wasnt able to. Someone told me the update would correct the prob. How can i get the original factory settings and files back on there?

I would look on the forums here for either a backup, or a full set of files.

And as I said, if you did a software bypass before, it's gone now, just do the smart thing and do the hardware bypass, it's quick, simple, and reliable.
