Hallo

i had bougth a X910BT in usa because it is much cheaper than the f910bt.

i had a lot of problems getting the europe maps running, but got them work correctly now i have studied this forum :-)

now i still have a problem with the fm tuner, i can't recieve most of the radio transmitters because i can only recieve for example 89.1 and next is 89.3...

the next problem is that i cant watch most dvds i have because of the regional code. is there any way to hack/fix this?

what would happen when i put the whole f series firmware on it? would it run on the x series device? or would it crash my unit? and can i switch the language to german anyway?

i hope anyone can help me with this...

There is no fix for the radio and region code as those are hardware issues. So it doesn't look like you saved any money after all sense you don't have a unit that works 100 %. You cant cut corners on stuff like this to try and save money. You end up paying one way or another in the long run.

okay. i've heard about the tuner, hoped anyone has find out a way to do it...

the region code is hardware setted? are you sure?

and what happens if i would put the f firmware on it? would i get it german this way?

i payed 600€ for the unit with shipping costs included... the f910bt costs around 1200€, i think its not that bad deal.. ok, there are a view things not working but i can use the navigation, bluetooth, a view radio transmitters and iphone. the other things that dont work wont have been 600€ extra worth to me. but it would be nice to get as much things running as possible.
