I get a pop over the speakers sometimes when the unit picks up a phone call either automatically or when I pick it up. I noticed it happens alot with my gf phone, then again she is usally the one that calls me. Anyone else ever have this issue?

... if it only happens when your gf calls... you might want to have her stop calling. Or better yet, get a new GF...!?

yeah, I have that too sometimes. Don't get that many calls while driving to figure out why/how this 'pop' happens.

Mine did that almost every time on the first call received after my BT phone connects to the Z1. Each successive call does not result in the loud POP! I just did the Z1 update this morning, so I will test it this evening on my way home to see if I get a pop still...
Not sure if it matters, but it happens wth my PPC-6700 phone and my Samsung IP-830w phone. Both are Windows Mobile 5 phones.

Hmm you might be right on the first phone call thing, I will have to try calling my cell from another phone. I am using a Razr.
Mine pops too......it is a heads up that someone is on the phone so I like it. My windows are always down so the ringer is barely heard.
I just finished installing my Z1 today (Dec 06 unit) and I noticed the pop as well.
It's intermittent though. It either happens on the first call after the Z1 connects with my Treo 650 or it doesn't happen at all. If it pops after the first call, it won't pop again after susbsequwnt calls.
Very weird. anyoone have any ideas?
I hear a pop when someone is calling, no ring WHY! don't know.
fine for now as my phone will ring so not a big deal.
