I was wondering if anyone has been successful in putting windows, linux, or mac on there navi and had the option of dual booting into those OS or the navigation system.

Prior to the F series, all the AVICs ran some sort of proprietary ROM-based OS. It's only since the F series that they switched to Windows CE/Automotive.
