in my unit (x910bt) I can not use the 1/4 inch cord to play music off my zune when I plug in the front aux hole. In the AV settings page the external input option does not light up and is thus inaccessible. I did go the the page and turn it on, but it still does not light up. Is this an installation error? Oh yeah I searched (for all you search nazi's who seem to be all over this forum).

What exactly did you do to try to turn it on?

so in the settings menu, you turned AV2 to the "video" setting correct?

Setting AV2 to video did the trick! Thanks 1loudls! Why would Pioneer label the setting "video" for the front audio auxiliary input? That is lame. Thanks again.

Well,,,, because it is a video input.

and because having it set to "off" well that just wouldnt work at all

but no seriously, as Vblue noted it is actually a video input, you can get special 4 pin aux cables that transmits video and audio signals.
